I'm a woman in midlife who has lived through grief, reinvention, and a body that doesn't always follow the rules anymore.

I've spent over two decades working in health and helping professions, and I understand the body. But nothing quite prepares you for the intersection of loss, hormonal shifts, disrupted sleep, and the quiet identity changes that come with this stage of life.

This is not just my work. It's my lived experience.

My Story

There was a time when I wasn't sleeping. Not just the occasional bad night, but ongoing, draining exhaustion.

I was grieving. I was navigating perimenopause. And my body felt unfamiliar, like what used to work just didn't anymore.

Sleep became fragmented. My nervous system felt constantly activated. Pain showed up in new places. Even rest didn't feel restorative.

So I did what I've always done. I started looking for answers.

I researched. I tested. I spent money on things that didn't help. And then, slowly, I found things that did.

A weighted blanket that gave my body a sense of calm when everything felt overwhelming. A wedge pillow that finally stopped the 3 a.m. reflux wake-ups. Compression socks that made long days on my feet manageable again. Simple tools that didn't fix everything, but made daily life feel more doable.

That's where this began.

Why I Created Simply Well Woman

This started as something very personal. I wasn't interested in trends or influencer hype. I needed real solutions that actually worked in a real body going through real things.

So I began sharing what I found. Not polished. Not perfect. Just honest.

Simply Well Woman is a curated collection of wellness products for women over 40 that has helped me function better, sleep better, and feel more like myself again.

Why I Focus on Women 40+

Most of the wellness space is not built for us. It often overlooks the realities of midlife: the hormonal shifts, the sleep disruption, the joint pain, the grief, and the identity changes that happen quietly, without much conversation.

But this stage of life matters. It's not a decline. It's a transition. And it deserves support that is practical, grounded, and respectful of what our bodies are actually experiencing.
